ELECTION LATEST: It's Lib Dem or Conservative

Elections in St Albans are a close fight between the Liberal Democrats and Conservatives

Your vote WILL make the difference between whether our MP is Lib Dem Daisy Cooper or a Conservative.

Bar chart showing the 2019 General Election result in St Albans: Lib Dem 50%, Con 39%, Lab 9%.

As the election to choose our MP in St Albans draws nearer – the campaign is shaping up to be a clear two-horse race.

With Labour in a distant third place here, many people here who have backed them in the past are lending their support to Daisy.

There are two choices here in the General Election. Either we will get a Conservative MP - and years more of chaotic Conservative government. Or we re-elect Daisy Cooper, a strong local champion - who is fighting to get a fair deal for our community.

No other result is possible here.

For years, St Albans was left with an out-of-touch, out-of-town MP who didn’t share our values. We can’t risk that happening again.

A Labour vote will help the Conservatives win

Labour simply don’t have the support to win across St Albans. They only have two district councillors, and Labour HQ recently labelled St Albans a non-battleground seat in this General Election. They know they won’t win here.

Only a vote for Daisy can get us the fair deal we deserve.
